okay. So, basically, getting your period sucks. But there are a few things you can do to make them suck less.

(inspired by this article: http://galadarling.com/article/the-ultimate-guide-to-making-your-period-suck-less)

1. Drink lots of water! ~
You're losing a lot of water and stuff the entire week...basically non-stop leaking. Your body is going to need lots of water. Bloating is caused by the body retaining water, so staying hydrated will get rid of that too.

2. Don't let yourself go!~
You're already feeling pretty crummy because your vagina feels like it's being ripped to shreds, and wearing sweatpants and granny panties will just make it worse. So, wear your favorite underwear, dress up, and do something special with your hair!

3. Eat, my friend!~
Just know which foods to eat. The article I mentioned above explains this in more detail, but here's the basics.
Eat regularly (it helps keep your metabolism working!)
Get some B6&C vitamins (bananas, eggs, citrus fruits, and nuts!)
Eat raw chocolate (get yo magnesium gurl!)
Drink lots of water (as mentioned above)

4. Chill Out!~
You might get really stressed due to increased hormones. While this kind of goes against step 2, spend a night in your pajamas with some popcorn and a stack of cheesy chick flicks. Might I recommend?
-Breakfast at Tiffany's
-Mean Girls
-Tangled
Or read a book while lounging in bed.

5. Hygiene Products...
Try not to wear tampons all the time, as this can extend the length of your period. Also try to use 100% cotton, and, don't use scented ones...just...don't.

6.OUCH!
Try extra hard not to hurt yourself...you're extra sensitive during your period!

7. Exercise! ~
You'll feel much better if you get up and move instead of sleeping for five days. Try boxing, yoga, or pop in wii sports for a little while. You'll feel much better after sweating a bit. (Don't forget to stay hydrated!)
*HINT* If you have super bad cramps, try doing sit ups/crunches. They help get rid of/ease the pain from your cramps.

I really hope this helped! Read the article at the top of the page, it has a ton of tips other than what I mentioned here. Also, I probably won't ever do another tip again, just saying.
